A fantastic school situated in the borough of Brent are currently looking for a Lead LSA to join their team from Easter 2021. We are looking for some one who has an NVQ 2 or equivalent childcare qualification.
We are looking for charismatic and optimistic individuals to work within an Ofsted Outstanding school which is located in North West London and offers amazing facilities for both staff and students. They have approximately 170 students within the school that have varying complex needs such as PMLD, ASD, SLD etc. The school works with children from the ages of 11 - 19.
What does Autism mean?
Autism which is often abbreviated to ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) could mean that individuals may have trouble with the following: Anxiety, communication, social interaction, repetitive and restrictive behaviour, varied sensitivity to certain senses such as; light, sound, taste and touch. Children with Autism may rely on different ways to communicate this maybe through PECS and Makaton.
What does PMLD mean?
Children with PMLD will have more than one disability, this could mean they may have trouble with the following: communication, hearing and visual impairments, physical disabilities, and mental health difficulties. Many individuals with profound multiple learning difficulties rely on different ways to communicate this maybe through such as PECS and Makaton.
