REESON Education is recruiting for a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant on behalf of an OFSTED "Outstanding" 1 form entry Church of England Primary School. The successful applicant will work alongside the class teacher to support a small and hard working class of approximately 28 pupils in KS2. Though this role is a maternity cover, there may be the possibility of a permanent contract offered for the right candidate.
As a Learning Support Assistant you will be responsible for supporting the whole class in understanding, and getting the best out of each lesson. You will support pupils with additional needs as required and be able to build a good rapport with students from a variety of backgrounds and academic abilities.
You must be able to liaise confidently with parents, carers, teachers and SLT alike in order to track progress and implement plans of action to best support pupils as required.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year's UK experience as a Learning Support Assistant, though this is not essential. The school is also keen to hear from recent Graduates who may have relevant voluntary work experience and who are interested in pursuing a career within education.
Successful applicants must be able to provide 2 recent, education based references as well as have a current, in date enhanced DBS check.
Paid trial days can be arranged in the coming weeks for successful applicants and rates of pay can be negotiated based on experience.
