What will be your role as an Post 16 SEN Teacher?
- Liaising with parents
- Marking and Planning Lessons
- Form Tutor
- Lead and Manage TA's
- Managing children's behaviour
We are urgently looking for an SEN Teacher to teach a ASD class Key Stage 5, immediately. This is a full-time role with an immediate start running up until the end of the academic year, at least. This lovely school is looking for an ASD Teacher to teach a class of 8 students, which is supported by 4 TA's.
What does ASD mean?
Autism which is often abbreviated to ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) could mean that individuals may have trouble with the following: Anxiety, communication, social interaction, repetitive and restrictive behaviour, varied sensitivity to certain senses such as; light, sound, taste and touch. Children with Autism may rely on different ways to communicate this maybe through PECS and Makaton.

This Ofsted outstanding school is based in Brent and is a well-known SEN School within its local area. The have approximately 300 students ranging from Key Stage 2 up until the age of Key Stage 5. tend to be rated Good to Outstanding by Ofsted. Special needs can vary in size and can have anything It is ran by a fantastic Headteacher with big visions for the school and is followed by a highly supportive Senior Leadership Team.
