The Job
This successful SEN School in Bromley is seeking to appoint an excellent and experienced SEN Teacher for students with Autism, Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties and Complex Needs. This is a long term position for the foreseeable and with the view of taking the teacher on to a permanent contract.
You will teach a class of students in your preferred key stage with various needs, Autism being a prevalent primary diagnosis. The school benefits from excellent staffing ratios, small class sizes and a highly personalised approach to learning. The classes are 6-10 pupils with needs are complex and staffed with full-time support from skilled Teaching Assistants. Many of the students are non-verbal so alternative communication systems are used such as PECs. You will deliver a highly adapted curriculum, sensory based, to develop students basic skills in Maths and English and Fine Motor Skills.
