I am currently searching for Primary & Secondary SEN Teachers to work with in a lovely special needs school situated in Brent. As a SEN Teacher you will be working with children that have Autism and/or Profound Multiple learning difficulties. As part of your role you will be expected to liaise with parents, mark and plan lessons, lead and manage TA's, and monitor the children's behaviour. I am looking for resilient and caring individuals who are able to remain calm in challenging situations.

As an SEN Teacher within this school you will be working with children that have been diagnosed with Autism and therefore we are looking for someone who has had prior experience working with ASC.

This position will be a timesheet role for the first 12 works weeks which will then transfer into a permanent position.

What does Autism mean?

Autism which is often abbreviated to ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) could mean that individuals may have trouble with the following: Anxiety, communication, social interaction, repetitive and restrictive behaviour, varied sensitivity to certain senses such as; light, sound, taste and touch. Children with Autism may rely on different ways to communicate this maybe through PECS and Makaton.
