A specialist SEN school in Lambeth that is a specialist ASD/SLD school for children for children in Secondary education is seeking to appoint a teacher on a full time basis. The school is focused on children with severe ASD and complex learning and medical needs as such the curriculum is based largely on the EYFS "P Levels and a multi-sensory curriculum that incorporates lots of learning through play and sensory experiences. The aim is to ensure all children are fully immersed within a sensory experience, allowing the pupils to develop their sensory cognitive, communication and thinking skills in a range of contexts. These occur in the classroom, outside space and the wider community. The
activities/experiences are dependent on the individual student's needs and their preferred learning styles, so this allows the pupils to reach their full potential. Developing the student's communication (conventional and unconventional) skills is an integral part of the curriculum.

The Headteacher of this outstanding Lambeth SEN school is seeking to appoint a new and forward thinking Autism/SLD Specialist SEN Teacher. The ideal SEN Teacher candidate will be an enthusiastic and committed SEN Teacher with good recent ASD and SLD teaching experience. The school is a supportive environment where there is a real emphasis on the development of all pupils and teaching staff.

The right candidate will have a passion for teaching and learning and the skills to engage, inspire and motivate students.
