A welcoming and inclusive primary school is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.

This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and helping them achieve their full potential within a nurturing school environment.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have previous experience supporting pupils with SEND within a school setting
  • Have experience working with children with Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, or other additional learning needs
  • Be confident providing 1:1 and small group support
  • Support pupils both academically and socially throughout the school day
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
  • Be patient, resilient, and committed to inclusive education

The role will involve:

  • Supporting pupils with additional needs in the classroom
  • Implementing strategies and targets set by the class teacher and SENCO
  • Encouraging pupil engagement, independence, and confidence
  • Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and external professionals where required
