1-1 role in Special Needs Unit
Reeson Education have a vacancy for a teaching assistant at a well-respected SEN unit in East London working with a child with Autism and challenging behavior - aged 14.
Rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted, this fantastic SEN provision uses a range of innovative teaching methods to help their students make the most of their educational experience.
The School has extensive grounds and a Sports Centre and the children are encouraged to do outside activities, sensory learning as well as Vocational learning such as Cooking, Cleaning and Gardening in order to arm them with skills for independent living.
The role starts October 2020 and is five days a week, full time. This is a long-term to permanent opportunity for the right candidate who wants to commit.
The position is 1-1 support - you must have a calm demeanour and resilient nature and experience of working with children with Autism and challenging behaviour is essential.
It is really important that the TA for this role has the right knowledge and ability to deescalation challenging and physical behaviours in the correct and safe way. We therefore as that only Team Teach trained TA's apply for this role.
