Teacher of the Deaf Job:

We are currently seeking for confident and qualified teachers of the deaf, to work within our client schools across all boroughs of London. We are seeking teachers who are currently looking for long term and permanent roles for a September 2020 start. The successful teacher of the deaf will be working with children from Primary schools up until Post 16 SEN Schools. The teacher of the deaf should have prior experience working with children who are deaf, the teacher must have at least a Level 2 in BSL training as well as having knowledge of Makaton.

These Ofsted rated, good to outstanding schools have fantastic facilities and resources for both students and staff, these students will be between the ages of 3 -19. Our client schools all believe that it is essential that each pupil, is given an individual focus in order to create the best personalised pathway for each student.

The Ideal Applicant:

We are looking for Teachers of the Deaf who are highly confident, committed, driven, passionate and someone who has fluency in sign language. We are looking for Teachers who are available from September. As this vacancy is a September start, it is key for any new member of staff that joins the school that a smooth transition takes place, in order to create minimal disruption for the students and staff.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with children with complex needs in either a mainstream or a special school. We need someone who is highly confident in supporting students with complex needs.
