About the Role

A primary school based in Ealing are seeking a caring, patient, and dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This rewarding role is ideal for a compassionate Teaching Assistant who is committed to helping children overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised support strategies, ensuring the pupil is engaged, supported, and making progress both academically and socially. The successful Teaching Assistant will play a vital role in creating a positive and structured learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support as a Teaching Assistant for a pupil with ASD
  • Implement individual education and behaviour support plans
  • Support the pupil's communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation
  • Work closely with teaching staff and external professionals
  • Monitor and record progress, adapting support as needed
  • Promote inclusion within the classroom and wider school environment

  • Have experience working with children with ASD or additional needs
  • Demonstrate patience, empathy, and resilience essential for a Teaching Assistant
  • Have strong communication and teamwork skills
