The Job
This successful School for students with EHC Plans is seeking to appoint an excellent and experienced SEN Teacher for an ASD class on a long term position starting in September.
You will teach a class of students in Key Stage 3 with a primary diagnosis of Autism and associated learning needs. The school benefits from excellent staffing ratios, small class sizes (your class will be no more than 5 pupils!) and a highly personalised approach to learning. Many of the students are non-verbal so alternative communication systems are used such as PECs. You will deliver a highly adapted curriculum, sensory based, to develop students basic skills in Maths and English and Fine Motor Skills.

The Ideal Applicant
Due to this complexity and challenge the school are seeking to appoint an experienced practitioner who has at least 2 years recent experience teaching in a similar environment in the UK delivering to children with the same needs and challenges.
