Full-Time Role: Teaching & Strategic Leadership:

Key Experience with Autism, SpLD, and SLD:

Your expertise in supporting students at Key Stage 2 and 3 will be invaluable in creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Middle/Senior Leadership Experience Required:

To excel in this role as an Assistant Headteacher, you must possess previous experience in middle or senior leadership positions. As an Assistant Headteacher, you will actively contribute to shaping the school's vision and strategic direction.

DSL Experience and More:

In addition to your extensive experience with Autism, SpLD, and SLD, we are seeking candidates with experience as a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL). Safeguarding is a critical aspect of an SEN school, and your expertise in this area will be vital in ensuring the well-being and safety of all students. Additional Responsibilities of an Assistant Headteacher Include:

  • Deputising the Headteacher, providing strong and effective leadership in their absence
  • Collaborating with and supporting Teaching Assistants and Teachers to enhance their skills and professional development
  • Monitoring and evaluating the school's progress, implementing strategies for continuous improvement
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs
  • Building positive relationships with parents, fostering open lines of communication and partnership
