Middle/Senior Leadership Experience Required:

DSL Experience and More:

Safeguarding is a critical aspect of an SEN school, and your expertise in this area will be vital in ensuring the well-being and safety of all students. Additional Responsibilities of an Assistant Headteacher Include:

  • Deputising the Headteacher, providing strong and effective leadership in their absence
  • Collaborating with and supporting Teaching Assistants and Teachers to enhance their skills and professional development
  • Monitoring and evaluating the school's progress, implementing strategies for continuous improvement
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs
  • Building positive relationships with parents, fostering open lines of communication and partnership
