Salary: £85 - £100 per day (term time only)

This vibrant and inclusive primary school in Islington are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Behaviour Mentor to join our team starting in October As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting and nurturing the social, emotional, and mental well-being of our students, enabling them to thrive academically and personally.
Responsibilities:
- Follow the individualised learning plan to support the students with social, emotional, and mental health needs, helping them to develop coping strategies and improve their behaviour.
- Establish positive and trusting relationships with students, promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Implement strategies and interventions to manage challenging behaviours and promote self-regulation.
- Deliver targeted group interventions to promote social skills, emotional resilience, and well-being.
- Act as a role model for positive behaviour and promote a culture of respect, empathy, and inclusion throughout the school community.
Behaviour Mentor Requirements:
- Experience working with children or adults with social, emotional, and mental health needs, preferably in a school setting.
- Knowledge and understanding of behaviour management strategies and intervention techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting children's well-being and development.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students.
