A brilliant and inspiring PRU School based in Bromley, South East London have a vacancy for a Behaviour Support TA.

The School:

This school is for children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs and Learning Difficulties. Students have a range of needs including ADHD, OCD, ODD, PTSD and ASC and are aged from 11 - 19 years. This School is a creative place where students are allowed freedom to work on things they feel passionate about such as Music, IT, Fashion and Engineering, as well as progressing in core subjects - English and Maths. All staff are friendly, warm and welcoming and committed to helping these students. Teachers and TA's work together to build rapport with students and engage them in learning, arming them with skills and knowledge for later life.

The Role:

As a Behaviour TA, you will be required to support students with complex emotional and behavioural issues. You will be a positive role model who is able to provide pupils with useful knowledge and advice on a 1-1 and group basis. You will be tasked with diffusing challenging situations, de-escalating conflict and guiding students towards improved behaviour and relationships with peers and adults.

This role would suit an inspirational leader! You must be creative, able to think on your feet and think outside the box about ways in which you can get through to students from various backgrounds. You must be calm, patient and up for a challenge. This role would also suit a person who is in to Sports and activities as this can be an active role, providing movement breaks for the pupil.
