Chemistry Teacher

A Chemistry Teacher is needed in an All Girls Secondary School & Mixed Sixth Form in South East London.

This Chemistry Teacher role will be full time and permanent.

If appointed as a Chemistry Teacher you will be required to teach KS3 to KS4 Science and KS5 Chemistry, in line with the National and School Curriculum.

Standard teacher responsibilities apply to this Chemistry Teacher position, which include but aren't limited to; planning lessons, assessing pupils progress and attending team meetings/parents evenings.

Rates of pay for this Chemistry Teacher post will be between £160 to £260 a day, depending on the qualifications and experience of each applicant.

An 'Outstanding' All Girls Secondary School & Mixed Sixth Form in South East London.

The school site is located within a Conservation Area. Although developments and refurbishments have taken place over time.

As a result, the school is equipped with brand new Art, Science and Sports facilities.

Ofsted noted that teachers were highly knowledgeable and keen to teach children.

They were observed to motivate pupils and nurture their desire to learn.

Teachers are confident in their pupils abilities and are always happy to provide extra support to them when needed.

Assessment and learning overall was graded as excellent across the school.

Requirements

You are encouraged to apply if you are a newly qualified Chemistry Teacher or experienced Chemistry Teacher.

Applications are also welcome if you are a UK trained Chemistry Teacher or overseas trained Chemistry Teacher.

However, all applicants must have the following as a must in order to be considered for this position as a Chemistry Teacher:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • UK QTS or an overseas equivalent
  • Clear and up to date Enhanced DBS
  • Experience as a Chemistry Teacher in UK schools
