Role Overview - Class Teacher
The successful Class Teacher will take responsibility for delivering engaging and well-structured lessons within
Key Stage 2. The Class Teacher will support pupils academically and socially while creating a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, confidence and independent learning.
Responsibilities of the Class Teacher
- Planning and delivering engaging Key Stage 2 lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Assessing and monitoring pupil progress to ensure strong outcomes
- Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice
- Supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development
- Communicating effectively with parents and the wider school team
Requirements for the Class Teacher
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 or strong curriculum knowledge
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to delivering high-quality teaching as a Class Teacher
- Ability to work collaboratively within a supportive school team
