A brilliant SEN School based in the London borough of Barking which caters to students with mild to severe learning difficulties are looking for a TA to join their team! They are ideally seeking an Arts Graduate with a Degree in Drama, Acting, Musical Theatre or similar to lead sessions for their students!

The School:

A school for children with Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties ages 4 - 19 years. This School is a hub of positivity and all staff are friendly, warm and welcoming. From the second you arrive at this School, you will be supported and made to feel part of the team. Teachers and TA s at this School work to deliver a unique and creative curriculum which is individual to each child's complex needs. They put huge emphasis on the Creative Arts and activities which will teach students confidence, public speaking, and creativity and above all, make learning fun!

The role: Drama TA

As a Drama TA, you will be required to support children with Special Needs in class. You must be patient, empathetic and able to adapt to students with complex needs who are working on lower levels than national average. You will be a positive role model who is able to provide pupils with useful knowledge and advice on a 1-1 and group basis.

As a Drama Specialist, you will lead sessions in performing arts and performance based games. You will encourage pupils to act, role play and take on characters and facilitate drama based games. You will be an engaging leader who is able to grab pupil's attention and excite them with learning through Drama!
