DT Teacher

A DT Teacher is needed in an All Girls Secondary School & Sixth Form in South West London.

This DT Teacher role will be part time, 4 days a week, Monday to Thursday.

Responsibilities will include taking a Tutor Group, as well as teaching KS3 DT, Year 10 to 11 Textiles and A Level Textiles.

The school uses Edexcel for GCSE and AQA for A Level.

As a DT Teacher at the school, you will be expected to plan lessons, assess pupils work, attend school meetings, parents' evenings, CPD sessions and INSET days.

However, the school is very supportive and will be willing to assist you in all areas, no matter your experience is as a DT Teacher

The rates of pay for this DT Teacher role will be dependent on experience and qualifications, ranging from £160 to £260 a day.

The School

Having opened in 2012, the school has since grown to include a Sixth Form and is now fully subscribed, with 800 places for 11 - 18 year olds.

The school is built on the landmark site of a former hospital and continues its tradition of service to the local community.

The building is also able to host a doctors' surgery for local families. The listed building has been fully refurbished and modernised to provide excellent learning facilities yet still preserves the building's historic features.

High quality classrooms and specialist spaces for RS, music and technology have been created as well, ensuring teaching is delivered effectively.

The school has two courts, sports hall and makes good use of local facilities for outdoor games and competitive sport.

Requirements

You are encouraged to apply if you are a newly qualified DT Teacher or experienced DT Teacher.

Applications are also welcome if you are a British trained DT Teacher or overseas trained DT Teacher.

All applicants must have the following criteria in order to be considered for this position as a DT Teacher:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • UK QTS or overseas equivalent
  • Clear and updated Enhanced DBS
  • Experience of teaching as a DT Teacher in UK schools
