DT Teacher

A DT Teacher is needed in a Coeducational Community Secondary School & Sixth Form in North London.

If you are an experienced DT Teacher, you can be considered for Lead DT Teacher role.

This DT Teacher role will be full time and permanent.

If appointed as a DT Teacher, you will need to teach KS3 to KS5 lessons.

The ability to teach Art and 3D Art will be advantageous for this DT Teacher role.

Standard responsibilities for this DT Teacher post will include but not be limited to; planning lessons, assessing pupil progress and regularly attending team meetings.

The rates of pay for this DT Teacher position will range from £180 to £290 a day, depending on each applicants qualifications and experience.

The School

A 'Good' coeducational secondary school for 11 to 16 year olds, part of the Islington Futures Federation of Community Schools and Islington Sixth Form Partnership.

It was first established in 1907 as an all-boys school.

Although there is no Sixth Form at the school, graduating pupils are guaranteed a place at City and Islington College, through the City and Islington Sixth Form Consortium.

There are a host of excellent facilities on site. These include a rooftop peace garden (with rabbits, chickens and vegetable growing), swimming pool, outdoor space, astroturf pitch, sports hall, fitness gym and music rooms for KS3 pupils to learn violin.

Requirements

You are encouraged to apply if you are a newly qualified DT Teacher or experienced DT Teacher.

Applications are also welcome if you are a British trained DT Teacher or overseas trained DT Teacher.

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Clear and updated Enhanced DBS
  • UK QTS or an overseas equivalent
  • Experience as a DT Teacher in UK schools
