DT Teacher

Immediate start for a qualified and experienced DT Teacher in an excellent 6th Form College in South West London, 4 days a week, no Mondays.

Only applicants with a teaching qualification and experience of teaching in the UK will be considered for this DT Teacher role.

The College are seeking a DT Teacher that can also cover areas of Art, following the UAL Course. Experience of Architecture would be beneficial for this DT Teacher position but isn't essential.

Ideal DT Teacher applicants will have previous experience in Secondary schools or Colleges in the UK.

Strong working knowledge of vocational Art & Design courses would also be beneficial for this DT Teacher position.

The salary for this DT Teacher position will be between £30480 to £49571 depending on the experiences and qualifications of each candidate.

The College

The age group consists of 16 - 19-year-old pupils with only A Levels and Diplomas 1 to 3 being taught. There is an excellent pastoral care system in place at the school with each student having a Personal Tutor to assist them, along with their subject teachers.

The site also has a Chapel and Prayer room for those of a religious background.

  • A Level results see 1 in 3 grades at A* - B with a 95% pass rate.
  • Level 3 Diploma results have a 96% pass rate with 66% being a D or D*.
  • 91% of pupils go on to Higher Education, including 27% to Russell Group or top 40 universities.

Staff are extremely satisfied when it comes to working at the college too.

Requirements

  • Experience of working as a DT Teacher within the UK
