English Specialist Teacher Role:
In this role, you will work with students across secondary education, delivering engaging English lessons that promote progress and achievement. Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons aligned with the curriculum, supporting students' reading, writing, speaking, and comprehension skills.

  2. Progress Monitoring: Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support attainment and development.

  3. Engagement & Motivation: Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages participation, confidence, and a love for English.

  4. Communication: Work closely with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure consistent and effective learning support for all students.

  5. Inclusion: Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of all learners, including those with additional or special educational needs.

Requirements as English Specialist Teacher:

  • Relevant experience as an English Teacher or Specialist Teacher is preferred.
  • Strong subject knowledge in English Language and/or Literature.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • A flexible and proactive approach, with the ability to engage and motivate learners.
  • Experience supporting students with additional learning needs is advantageous.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply through Reeson Education.
