English Teacher
A position for a English Teacher has become available at an excellent school in South London.
The school is seeking to appoint a English Teacher on a full-time basis. This is a permanent post. Applications are welcome from NQTs, as well as experienced candidates.
Applicants for this position as a English Teacher will be supported by experienced colleagues in a successful and well-structured English team.
Support and training will be provided to the appointed English Teacher by the Head of English and Director of English, who is a 'Specialist Leader of Education' and leads the NQT programme.
Ideal English Teacher candidates will hold a relevant degree and will be able to teach all Keys Stages, including A-Level.
The salary for this English Teacher position will be between £29915 and £45766 depending on the experience of each candidate.

The department is made up of fifteen teachers under the leadership of joint Faculty Directors and a Head of English.
The department is a well-resourced Curriculum area with ten classrooms.

The school is a mixed academy for 1,300 students aged 11-18 and celebrated its 25th anniversary last academic year. The founding academy of its Federation, it has three consecutive outstanding judgments by Ofsted, most recently finding the academy to be outstanding in every aspect in 2014.

Requirements

- UK QTS or an overseas formal secondary school teaching qualification
- Right to work in the UK
- Knowledge/experience of teaching English in UK Secondary Schools
