English Teacher - Key Stages 3 & 4
Location: Chiswick, West London
Contract: Full-Time | Temp to Perm
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: Competitive (MPS/UPS, dependent on experience)

We are currently working in partnership with a well-regarded SEN school in Chiswick, West London, to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic English Teacher to join their successful department. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and committed teacher to secure a long-term role with the potential to become permanent within a short time frame.

You'll be joining a flexible and well-resourced English department with a strong leadership team and experience with student progression. The school offers robust induction and mentoring support for all new staff and is open to both experienced teachers and ECTs.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Teaching English across Key Stages 3 and 4, following the national curriculum
  • Planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons that promote student progress
  • Tracking and assessing student performance and contributing to departmental improvement
  • Supporting wider school life, including enrichment, school events, and parent engagement
  • Promoting high standards of teaching, learning, and behaviour in line with school policies

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (UK or overseas-trained teachers welcome)
  • Strong subject knowledge and experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4
  • A passion for literature and language, and a student-centred approach to teaching
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching style to meet the needs of students with a diverse range of learning difficulties (moderate learning difficulties)
  • A cooperative attitude and commitment to professional development
  • ECTs are encouraged to apply and will receive full support
