Salary: £32,000 - £42,000 per year (DOE)

Reeson Education is recruiting a dedicated and resilient English Teacher for a specialist SEMH secondary provision in Manchester. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity for an English Teacher who is passionate about supporting pupils aged 11-16 with social, emotional and mental health needs.
The school is looking for an English Teacher who can deliver engaging, creative, and differentiated English lessons, whilst also teaching Science as a secondary subject. As an English Teacher, you will be joining a supportive team that works collaboratively to ensure every pupil receives a tailored and inclusive education.
English Teacher Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver inspiring English lessons as a committed English Teacher
- Teach Science as a secondary subject, adapting lessons to suit diverse needs
- Differentiate learning to support pupils with SEMH, behavioural challenges, and additional needs
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment as an English Teacher
- Track progress, assess learning, and provide constructive feedback
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents/carers
- Uphold safeguarding standards and promote pupil wellbeing at all times
- Model resilience, patience, and adaptability as a proactive English Teacher
English Teacher Requirements:
- QTS is essential - do not apply if you do not hold QTS
- Experience teaching English in secondary settings (Science knowledge desirable)
- Previous experience working with SEMH or additional needs is highly beneficial
- Excellent behaviour management and the ability to engage pupils with creative strategies
- Commitment to a long-term, full-time permanent role as an English Teacher
- Strong communication, resilience, and passion for making a difference
