An English Tutor is needed at an 'Outstanding' mixed Secondary School in South London.
This English Tutor role will be full time.
Tutoring for this English Tutor role will be for KS4 English. Therefore, knowledge of or preferably active experience of teaching/tutoring English in line with the National Curriculum will be essential.
Working days will consist of six 1 hour sessions of tutoring 1 to 3 pupils at a time.
The school require an English Tutor for the entire academic year (up to July 2023).
Delivering high quality English sessions, keeping pupils focused and working cohesively with a team will be key criteria in order to be considered for this English Tutor post.
The rates of pay for this English Tutor position will be between £100 to £200 a day, depending on the qualifications and experiences of each applicant.
The School
A mixed school for boys and girls aged 11 - 19.
There is a thriving 6th Form, as well as two sites.
The school is considered an Art & Enterprise Specialist, with the approach of making pupils Art orientated.
There is a strong focus on preparing pupils for employment in the 21st Century as well.
The school benefits from excellent facilities; 12 laboratories, an ICT suite and a talented team of technicians.
Strong STEM links and a growing interest in promoting Computer Science-based careers also form key elements to the school's ethos/reputation.
Requirements
You are encouraged to apply if you are an experienced English Tutor or qualified English Teacher.

Working knowledge of the National Curriculum will be essential.

- Right to work in the UK
- Clear and up to date Enhanced DBS
- Experience of working as an English Tutor in UK schools
- At least a UK Bachelor's Degree in English or UK QTS/overseas equivalent
