ESOL TEACHER OR TUTOR REQUIRED FOR A PART TIME POST (2 days per week)

ABOUT THE SCHOOL - ESOL TEACHER

A hugely popular East London school is looking for an ESOL Teacher or Tutor to work with students who are new to English and help raise their attainment. You should ensure that ESOL students are making progress with their English by supporting their English development.

You will be planning and delivering 1:1s and group sessions to ESOL students and developing EAL resources to support students in lessons at both KS3 & KS4. Some of these students have little to no English.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ESOL TEACHER / TUTOR POST:

  • Qualifications to degree level or equivalent.
  • Relevant specialist qualifications and experience in your subject specialism with the ability to tutor students at KS3/4.
  • Excellent classroom practitioner.
  • Commitment to improving practice through reflection, appropriate professional development and through being open to advice and feedback.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development or relevant research.
  • Experience of working in an educational environment and a multi-ethnic community. (Desirable)

  • Ability to design opportunities for learners to develop their literacy, ICT (PC and MAC) thinking skills within your subject area.
