Role Overview - EYFS Teaching Assistant
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will support children within the Early Years Foundation Stage, helping them develop key skills through play-based learning. The EYFS Teaching Assistant will work alongside teachers to ensure children are engaged and supported in all aspects of their development.
The EYFS Teaching Assistant will contribute to creating a positive, safe and stimulating environment where children feel confident and eager to learn.
Responsibilities of the EYFS Teaching Assistant
- Supporting pupils as an EYFS Teaching Assistant in daily classroom activities
- Assisting with play-based learning and EYFS curriculum delivery
- Supporting children's social, emotional and communication development
- Providing 1:1 support where required
- Maintaining a safe and inclusive environment as an EYFS Teaching Assistant
Requirements for the EYFS Teaching Assistant
- Previous experience as an EYFS Teaching Assistant or in early years settings
- Knowledge of the EYFS framework
- A positive, patient and proactive attitude
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
