French & Spanish Teacher
A position for a French & Spanish Teacher has become available at a historically excellent independent school in South London.
This French & Spanish Teacher post is suitable for NQTs and experienced candidates. The school is seeking to appoint immediately for January, up until the end of the year, for maternity cover, either 4 days a week or full-time basis.
Suitable applicants for this French & Spanish Teacher position will have a good degree in languages and will be able to teach French up to KS5. The ability to teach Spanish to GCSE level would be advantageous.
The salary for this French & Spanish Teacher position will range from £30480 to £49571 depending on the experiences and qualifications of each candidate.
The School
One of the oldest schools in London and winner of Tes independent school awards.
It is mixed, boys and girls, as well as being an all through for ages 3 - 18-year-old pupils.
Research has indicated that pupils will likely perform better at the school than 86% of other independent schools.
Academic standards are high, with the vast majority of pupils going on to their first choice for Russell Group institutions, as well as Oxford and Cambridge
The school has a well-established languages department consisting of French, German and Spanish. There are specialist language Teaching Assistants and teachers who are native speakers. All staff are well qualified and experienced.
The department itself is well equipped with 7 language classrooms, all with interactive whiteboards, one with 12 computers and a dedicated study room for 1:1 tuitions.
Languages are popular at the school and results for all three languages are consistently very good. All three languages are offered at A Level and trips to France, Germany, Austria and Spain are organised.
