A Geography Teacher is needed at a Secondary School in West London.

This Geography Teacher post can be part time or full time.

Teaching will primarily be for KS3 and KS4, with some expectation to teach KS5. If you have no experience of teaching KS5, you will be supported by the team in order to deliver high quality lessons.

Standard responsibilities will apply if appointed as a Geography Teacher. This includes but isn't limited to; planning lessons, assessing pupils progress and attending staff meetings/parents evenings.

The rates of pay for this Geography Teacher position will range from £150 to £250 a day, depending on the experiences and qualifications of each candidate.

The School

The school is an all through and rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted.

It is part of a group of academy schools with an interfaith based ethos.

Links with the local golf club, cricket club and rugby club have strengthened over time. All are within a 2 minute walk from the school and are evidence of how relationships with the community are strong.

Music labs, music practice rooms/studio, food technology rooms, ICT suites and a well-equipped library.

Extra-curricular activities introduce pupils to debating, drama, Latin, Textiles, as well as working towards achieving the CREST and Sports Leader Awards.

These activities, along with others, allow pupils to participate in kayaking on Osterley lakes, golf, cooking, reading, music, football, yoga and chess.

Requirements

Applications are welcome if you are a recently qualified Geography Teacher or experienced Geography Teacher.

You are encouraged to apply if you are a British trained Geography Teacher or overseas trained Geography Teacher too.

  • Right to work in the UK
  • UK QTS or overseas equivalent
  • Clear and up to date Enhanced DBS
  • Experience of teaching as a Geography Teacher in UK schools
