Geography Teacher

A Geography Teacher is needed in a mixed Secondary School & Sixth Form in South West London.

This will be a full time and permanent Geography Teacher role.

If appointed as a Geography Teacher you will be required to teach Geography from KS3 to KS4.

Experience of teaching KS5 Geography will be advantageous but is not essential.

Standard class teacher responsibilities will apply to this Geography Teacher post. This includes but isn't limited to; planning lessons, assessing pupil progress and attending meetings/parents evenings.

The rates of pay for this Geography Teacher role will be between £160 and £260 a day, depending on the qualifications and experience of each applicant.

The School

An 'Outstanding' Secondary School & Sixth Form in South London located near a Site of Nature Conservation Interest (SNCI).

It is a mixed, 11 - 18, non-selective school, with a wide demographic of pupils and staff. The team has a positive reputation for being very friendly, inclusive and supportive.

There is a strong focus on the values of discipline, good manners, respect and pride in appearance.

Pupil attainment is higher than the national average. 90% of students stay in education or employment after Key Stage 4.

The school endeavours to get all pupils to achieve the English Baccalaureate. This must include core subjects, as well as MFL and Geography or History.

Requirements

You are welcome to apply if you are a newly qualified Geography Teacher or experienced Geography Teacher.

Applications are also welcome if you are a British trained Geography Teacher or overseas trained Geography Teacher.

  • Right to work in the UK
  • UK QTS or an overseas equivalent
  • Clear and up to date Enhanced DBS
  • Experience of teaching as a Geography Teacher in UK schools
