We are working with a small, specialist SEN school in the Barnet area to recruit a passionate and resilient Geography Teacher for an immediate start. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate.

This role is ideal for a teacher who is patient, empathetic and committed to helping students re-engage with learning and achieve meaningful academic and personal progress.

The Role:

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and inclusive Geography lessons to students with SEN and SEMH needs. You will:

* Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
* Create a calm, safe and structured learning environment
* Use creative, practical and therapeutic approaches to teaching
* Track progress through assessment, marking and feedback
* Support students with GCSE and pathway preparation
* Work closely with support staff, therapists and senior leaders
* Contribute to enrichment activities, trips and wider school life
* Act as a form tutor and support students' pastoral development

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Experience working with students with SEN / SEMH
* A nurturing, patient and resilient approach
* Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
* A genuine commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing

The School Offers:

* A supportive, therapeutic and child-centred environment
* Small class sizes and high staff-to-student ratios
* A chance to make a real difference to young people's lives
* A pathway to a permanent role after a successful temporary period

If you are an enthusiastic Geography Teacher looking for an immediate start in a rewarding SEN setting, we would love to hear from you.
