REESON Education is recruiting for an enthusiastic and confident Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a fabulous Team in one of our Central Hackney partner schools. The role will be on an ongoing supply basis until the end of the school year in July. For the right candidate, there may be the possibility of being asked to return to the school for a second year as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in September 2022.
The role will be offering whole class support to the KS2 class teachers. Children are exceptionally well behaved at the school and the standards of achievement are above the national average.
As the dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistant for the pupil/class, you will be responsible for supporting the class teacher in ensuring children reach their full potential. You will supervise lunch and play breaks alongside lesson time, organise activities and assist with the decoration of the classroom. You will also meet regularly with the SENDCO, Class Teacher and parents to discuss progress and plans of action to support improvement in any pupils with SEN.
The ideal Graduate Teaching Assistant candidate will have some previous experience either as a Graduate Teaching Assistant or voluntary work experience supporting children or adults. The school is also keen to hear from recent Graduates who may have relevant voluntary work experience (particularly with vulnerable people) and who are interested in pursuing a career within education.
Successful applicants must be able to provide 2 recent, education based references as well as have a current, in date enhanced DBS check.
