Reeson Education is looking for enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Waltham Forest. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate who is considering a career in teaching, educational psychology, or SEN support.
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will be working alongside experienced teachers to support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, including those with additional needs such as autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties. This role provides valuable paid school experience and is ideal preparation for future teacher training routes.
What the Graduate Teaching Assistant Role Involves:
Supporting pupils in class and helping to deliver engaging activities
Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEN
Assisting with phonics, reading, maths and classroom routines
Helping to create a positive, inclusive learning environment
Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams
Graduate Teaching Assistant Requirements:
A degree in Psychology, Education, Childhood Studies, English, Sociology or similar
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A calm, patient and proactive approach
Some experience working with children is desirable (tutoring, mentoring, camps, volunteering)
A genuine interest in SEN and supporting pupils with additional needs
