Reeson Education is working with supportive primary schools across East London, in the borough of Waltham Forest, who are looking for enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistants to join their teams. You'll be working across areas including Walthamstow, Leyton, Leytonstone, Chingford, Highams Park, and Woodford-all with great transport links.
The Role:
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you'll work flexibly across primary year groups, supporting classroom learning and helping pupils who need additional support. You'll work alongside experienced teachers and SENCOs, gaining valuable insight into how children learn and developing your skills in supporting pupils with a range of needs, including SEN.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support learning across different year groups and subjects
- Work with small groups and individuals to reinforce key concepts
- Assist pupils with SEN, helping them access the curriculum and build confidence
- Use positive behaviour strategies and encourage independence
- Prepare resources and support classroom activities
- Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families
- Take on feedback and develop your practice in a supportive environment
What We're Looking For:
- A degree in Education, an Education-related subject, or Psychology
- A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
- Willingness to work with and learn to support SEN pupils
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, can-do attitude
- Flexibility and adaptability across different classes and age groups
