Graduate Teaching Assistant | Primary | £82.14-£100 per day | ASAP Start | Full-Time | North London

Reeson Education is working with welcoming primary schools across North London, in the borough of Enfield, who need motivated Graduate Teaching Assistants to support learning and development. If you're a recent graduate eager to gain meaningful experience in education and help children reach their potential, this Graduate Teaching Assistant role is the perfect starting point.

You'll be working across areas including Edmonton, Southgate, Palmers Green, Enfield Town, Ponders End, Winchmore Hill, and Cockfosters-all with excellent transport links.

The Role:

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you'll work flexibly across primary year groups, supporting classroom teaching and helping pupils who need extra encouragement. You'll collaborate with experienced teachers and SENCOs, learning how to support diverse learners and developing your understanding of SEN provision in a nurturing school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils across different year groups and curriculum areas
  • Deliver small group interventions and provide 1:1 support where needed
  • Work with pupils with SEN, using strategies to help them engage and succeed
  • Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and resilience
  • Assist with classroom preparation, displays, and learning activities
  • Build trusting relationships with children and work as part of a collaborative team
  • Reflect on your practice and embrace opportunities to learn and grow

What We're Looking For:

  • A degree in Education, an Education-related subject, or Psychology
  • A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
  • Willingness to work with and learn to support SEN pupils
  • A caring, patient approach and genuine enthusiasm for working with children
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Flexibility to adapt across different classes and age ranges
