- Assisting with personal care tasks, including feeding, toileting, and administering medication, in a sensitive and dignified manner.

- Supporting students in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities, adapting materials and resources as necessary.
- Assisting in the management of challenging behaviours, using de-escalation techniques and providing a calm and nurturing environment.
- Monitoring and documenting students' health conditions, behaviours, and progress, communicating effectively with the wider team to ensure continuity of care.
- Establishing positive and trusting relationships with students, creating a safe and supportive environment for their learning and personal growth.
- Collaborating with other health care professionals and external agencies to ensure that students receive the necessary medical and therapeutic support.
- Encouraging and promoting the student's independence and self-care skills, empowering them to develop their abilities and build confidence.
- Promoting inclusivity and celebrating diversity within the school community, fostering an atmosphere of acceptance, respect, and equality.
