Healthcare Assistant role:

Reeson Education are currently looking for Health Care Assistants who are looking for a new adventure as an SEN TA. The role as an SEN TA is not too dissimilar to a Health Care Assistant. You will be supporting children with complex special needs that require 1:1 support. This role will be working within an outstanding, community special school situated in the borough of Hackney. This is a long-term position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate, this will be an immediate start. This school specialises in educating students with Autism and therefore it would be beneficial for the successful SEN TA to have strong knowledge of complex needs. This specific role will be working as a Teaching Assistant for small groups and potentially 1:1. It is also worth bearing in mind that the successful SEN TA will need to be happy to provide personal care.

The School:

This outstanding special school is situated in Hackney. They have approximately 150 students between the ages of 4 -16. They can support pupils with high and low functioning autism. It is the school's priority to make sure each student has an individual focus, that is not only enjoyable but age appropriate. This school has fantastic amenities for members of staff and are able to provide their employees with personal and professional development.

The Headteacher is incredibly successful and is highly valued by all members of staff. They are looking for someone who is confident, driven, eager to learn, flexible and can take initiative. As this vacancy is an immediate start, it is key for any new member of staff that joins the school that a smooth transition takes place, in order to create minimal disruption for the students and staff when returning back to school after the half term holidays.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with children with complex needs in either a mainstream or a special school. We need someone who is highly confident in supporting students with complex needs.

If this role is of interest, please ensure you upload an up to date CV.
