Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Position Immediate Start - Finsbury Park, North London

A highly reputable primary school in Finsbury Park, North London, is seeking an exceptional and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their dedicated team. Position Overview: As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. Working closely with teachers and the senior leadership team, you will lead interventions, deliver pre-planned lessons, and provide guidance to support student's academic progress and social development.

Responsibilities: In this dynamic role as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Lead small group interventions, delivering targeted support to students to enhance their learning outcomes.
  • Cover lessons and deliver pre-planned lessons, ensuring a high standard of teaching and learning in the absence of teachers.
  • Collaborate with class teachers to plan and differentiate lessons, adapting resources and activities to meet the needs of individual students.
  • Provide pastoral support, promoting positive behavior management strategies and contributing to the well-being of students.
  • Contribute to the overall development and improvement of the school, actively participating in staff meetings, training sessions, and school-wide initiatives.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, the Higher Level Teaching Assistant should possess the following qualifications and qualities:

  • Relevant experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or a similar position within a primary school setting.
  • A strong understanding of the primary curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • The ability to lead interventions and deliver lessons confidently, maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
  • A passion for education, a positive attitude, and a commitment to the holistic development of students.
