Position Overview: As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. Working closely with teachers and the senior leadership team, you will lead interventions, deliver pre-planned lessons, and provide guidance to support student's academic progress and social development.
Responsibilities: In this dynamic role as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Lead small group interventions, delivering targeted support to students to enhance their learning outcomes.
- Cover lessons and deliver pre-planned lessons, ensuring a high standard of teaching and learning in the absence of teachers.
- Collaborate with class teachers to plan and differentiate lessons, adapting resources and activities to meet the needs of individual students.
- Provide pastoral support, promoting positive behavior management strategies and contributing to the well-being of students.
- Contribute to the overall development and improvement of the school, actively participating in staff meetings, training sessions, and school-wide initiatives.
Requirements: To be successful in this role, the Higher Level Teaching Assistant should possess the following qualifications and qualities:
- Relevant experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant or a similar position within a primary school setting.
- A strong understanding of the primary curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- The ability to lead interventions and deliver lessons confidently, maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
- A passion for education, a positive attitude, and a commitment to the holistic development of students.
