Higher Level Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:
Intervention Leadership: Design, implement, and lead targeted interventions to support students in KS1 and/or KS2, ensuring a tailored approach to meet diverse learning needs.
PPA Cover Support: Provide support during teacher's Planning, Preparation, and Assessment (PPA) time, maintaining continuity in learning experiences for students.
Collaborative Planning: Work closely with teachers to plan and deliver high-quality lessons, incorporating intervention strategies into the broader curriculum.
Progress Monitoring: Track and analyze student progress within interventions, using data to inform adjustments and improvements to intervention programs.
Inclusive Learning Environment: Foster an inclusive and positive atmosphere within interventions, ensuring that every student feels valued and supported in their learning journey.
Professional Development: Stay updated on educational best practices, attend relevant training, and share knowledge with colleagues to contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning.
Higher Level Teaching Assistant Qualifications and Skills:
- Recognised HLTA/Degree/QTS qualification or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience leading interventions in KS1 and/or KS2.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic educational setting.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
