Based in the London Borough of Greenwich, this specialist SEMH setting is looking to recruit a Teacher for ICT to start September 2020.

About the School;

Most of the students at this School have been excluded from one or more Schools and have significant behavioural and emotional issues. Students benefit from small groups teaching, an individualised education plans and highly adapted curriculum. Academic aspirations, social, emotional and interpersonal skills are the key focus areas for the students within this school. Specialist support is given for behavior intervention and a positive and encouraging ethos is fostered to ensure students build self-esteem and confidence in themselves. The School works closely with parents and carers to ensure a consistent approach. It is so important that the staff build trust with their pupils in order to bring out their strengths and potential!

The Head Teacher is a true believer in providing the Teachers at his School a good work / life balance. This way, if their wellbeing is looked after, they are able to come in each day feeling valued and able to meet any challenges with a positive approach. The School are looking for;

The ICT Teacher will have exceptional subject knowledge and passion for his subject and be able to deliver ICT up to GCSE Level. You will need to be both a strong Teacher, Role Model and a Mentor at the same time. The students who present challenging behaviour in particular need a positive role model to offer guidance and support. You must be calm and able to deal with stressful situations in a professional manner. You must be an excellent communicator who is able to work effectively with other staff, parents and outside agencies.
