Are you a passionate and committed Catholic teacher looking to serve within a caring, faith-filled school community? Are you dedicated to nurturing children academically, spiritually and morally within a strong Catholic ethos? If so, we would love to hear from you.

We are working with an outstanding, high-achieving Catholic primary school in Brent that is seeking to appoint a practising Catholic Key Stage 1 Teacher to join their team from April 2026. This is a wonderful opportunity to work within a vibrant parish community where faith is at the heart of school life.

The successful candidate will play a key role in upholding and promoting the Catholic ethos of the school and will ideally have, or be working towards, the Catholic Certificate in Religious Studies (CCRS). There is the opportunity for the right candidate to lead on Religious Education across the school.

Responsibilities of this Key Stage 1 Teacher role:

  • Support and actively promote the Catholic ethos and mission of the school in all aspects of school life.

  • Plan and deliver a high-quality, inclusive curriculum that enables all pupils to thrive academically and spiritually.

  • Lead and develop Religious Education across the school (for candidates with CCRS or relevant experience), ensuring high standards of teaching and learning in RE.

  • Prepare and support pupils in liturgies, Mass, prayer, and collective worship.

  • Monitor pupil progress effectively, using assessment data to implement timely interventions and raise achievement.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, governors, parents and the parish community.

  • Engage fully with diocesan and local authority initiatives, training, and ongoing professional development.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Be a practising Catholic committed to Catholic education.

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • Have successful experience teaching in Key Stage 1.

  • Hold the CCRS qualification (desirable) or be willing to work towards it.

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Religious Education curriculum and Catholic life of the school.

  • Deliver engaging, inclusive and inspiring lessons.

  • Show excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.

  • Be reflective, proactive and committed to ongoing professional development.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Catholic teacher seeking to make a meaningful impact within a supportive and faith-driven environment, while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
