Key Stage 2 Classroom Teacher (Year 5)

An exciting opportunity has arisen at an Ofsted rated 'outstanding' school in the Royal Borough of Greenwich to start in January 2020. This successful primary academy requires a Key Stage 2 Classroom Teacher to replace their year 5 teacher who is relocating back to New Zealand at the end of December. This position will begin in January 2020 and ideally will involve a one to two week handover in the last two weeks of the first term (where possible). Ideally the school will be employing the successful candidate on a permanent basis and salary will run in-line with inner-London pay scales M1-6. This position is open to both newly qualified and experienced teachers.
This exciting and modern school has a child centred approach at the heart of teaching and learning. Staff are supported well by both senior and middle leaders and there are ample opportunities for professional development throughout the year. Children enjoy coming to school and in-turn, behave well during lessons and outside the classroom. There is a strong home-school focus and maintaining positive relationships between both is paramount maintaining to high levels of achievement.
As this is a large school, opportunities for growth and progression arise on a yearly basis and staff are encouraged to extend themselves and progress.

What you'll need to apply for the Key Stage 2 Classroom Teacher (Year 5) position:
- Previous experience teaching KS2 in the UK (NQTs welcome to apply)
- QTS - Achieved through a PGCE, Bachelor of Education, GTP or equivalent
- An up-to-date DBS, ideally registered with the update service
- Two teaching related references from your last two employers
