  • Large, diverse and supportive team
  • Competitive rates of pay based on experience
  • Interviews to be arranged as soon as possible

REESON Education are working with a fantastic "Outstanding" 3 form entry Primary school located in the London Fields area of the borough of Hackney. This large, successful community school is looking for an innovative, enthusiastic and dynamic KS2 Teacher to join their team either for a January start.

The School:

The school itself is set in a new, state of the art building with a large, experienced team and a very hands-on Headteacher. Staff work closely together across all phases and collaborative planning is encouraged to ensure a working environment where all staff feel their ideas are valid and appreciated. Expectations across the school are high, however hard work is rewarded with excellent career progression and CPD opportunities.

Academic achievement at the school is above the national average at all phases, and the Headteacher prides themselves on the happy, safe and nurturing environment they have created. The new KS2 teacher will be responsible for maintaining these standards for the remainder of the academic year, ensuring every child feels supported and reaches their full potential.

The SLT like to promote from within, meaning that for the successful KS2 Teacher, there is a high probability of a permanent contract offer from September 2022. The current SLT have worked their way up from Class Teaching and there are plenty of opportunities for promotion across the school and local federation.

The Role:

The successful KS2 Teacher must be dedicated to having a positive impact on children in their care. You will be able to successfully plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons that are differentiated to ensure children of all ability levels are reached and challenged. Though planning will be done collaboratively with other phase teachers, a successful KS2 teacher will be able to bring their own ideas and energy to planning sessions.

As the full time KS2 Teacher, you will be taking over a wonderful class of approx. 28 Year 6 pupils. You will work closely with support staff, Senior Leadership and parents to ensure each child in your class feels included and excited about their life at school. You will regularly monitor progress and take a pride in seeing the development of your students over the course of the remaining school year.

As a SATs year teacher, you will be confident in your knowledge of the National Curriculum and ideally have previous Year 6 teaching experience.

The successful KS2 Teacher candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • KS2 Teaching experience within the UK
  • SATs teaching experience
  • A proven track record of success, demonstrated through references
  • A clear, enhanced DBS check valid within 1 year (or on the update service
