Are you a firm, dependable Learning Manager who brings authority, vigilance, and clear judgement to a school environment where standards, safety, and consistency matter?

Reeson Education are recruiting a confident Learning Manager to work in a structured and well-led school setting in Barnsley (S71). This role suits someone calm under pressure, assertive in presence, and capable of supporting senior leadership through active supervision and strong behavioural oversight.

About the Learning Manager Role:
As a Learning Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining order, safeguarding pupils, and reinforcing expectations across the school. You will support the Senior Leadership Team with active supervision, behaviour monitoring, and intervention, ensuring pupils remain regulated, safe, and focused throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities as a Learning Manager:

  • Whole-School Supervision: Provide visible, active supervision across classrooms, corridors, social spaces, and outdoor areas.
  • Behaviour Oversight: Apply firm, consistent behaviour strategies to support regulation and compliance with school expectations.
  • Safeguarding & Welfare: Identify, report, and respond appropriately to safeguarding and pastoral concerns.
  • Leadership Support: Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to maintain routines, transitions, and high standards.
  • Record Keeping: Log behaviour incidents, safeguarding concerns, and key observations accurately and professionally.

To succeed as a Learning Manager, you will need:

  • A strong background working with children and providing behavioural support.
  • Confidence managing pupils across the school day with authority and consistency.
  • A solid understanding of safeguarding procedures and responsibilities.
  • Level 3 safeguarding training (desirable, but not essential).
  • A reliable, observant, and proactive working approach.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply through Reeson Education.
