We are currently seeking a Learning Mentor to join the team at our SEND schools in the BR2 area. As a Learning Mentor, you will be working with students who have a range of special educational needs, including autistic spectrum disorder, ADHD, communication difficulties and severe social anxiety.
The successful candidate will have experience working with children and young people in a school setting, and a good understanding of the issues that may arise when supporting students with special educational needs.
- To provide 1:1 support to students who require additional support with their learning.
- To deliver small group interventions, targeting specific areas of need.
- To work with teachers to identify and support students who require additional support.
- To liaise with parents and carers, as appropriate, to ensure that the needs of the students are being met.
- To provide support for students with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with both primary and secondary students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills and experience in a SEND school setting.
