About the Role
A supportive and inclusive primary school in Greenwich is seeking a compassionate and proactive Learning Mentor to join their Key Stage 2 team from 17th November. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential, both academically and emotionally.
As a Learning Mentor, you'll work closely with pupils who need additional support with behaviour, motivation, or social and emotional development. You'll play a vital role in creating a safe and encouraging environment where every child feels valued and ready to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one and small group mentoring sessions for KS2 pupils.
Support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
Help improve engagement, attendance, and self-esteem through positive relationships.
Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
Promote inclusion and wellbeing across the school community.
Candidate Requirements
Previous experience as a Learning Mentor, Teaching Assistant, or similar role.
Understanding of behaviour support strategies and emotional regulation.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
A calm, patient, and resilient approach to supporting young learners.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
