Learning Support Assistant needed ASAP in an excellent school in South London.

This will be a full time Learning Support Assistant post, with working days being Monday to Friday.

Working hours as a Learning Support Assistant at the school are 8am to 4pm.

If you interview successfully, you will be offered a long term post as a Learning Support Assistant and be expected to meet all the requirements for the position, as well as uphold the ethos of the school.

You will need to be able to support pupils across all key stages as a Learning Support Assistant.

General responsibilities as a Learning Support Assistant will include but not be limited to; assisting lower attainting pupils in class, working 1:1 with specific SEN pupils and carrying out brief refresher sessions for particular groups of children.

The rates of pay for this Learning Support Assistant position will be between £70 to £100 a day, depending on the qualifications and experiences of each candidate.

Requirements

Applications are welcome if you are a recent graduate/newly qualified Learning Support Assistant or experienced Learning Support Assistant.

You are also welcome to apply if you are a British trained Learning Support Assistant or overseas trained Learning Support Assistant.

All applicants must have the following in order to be considered for this position as a Learning Support Assistant:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Clear and up to date Enhanced DBS
  • UK Bachelor's Degree or overseas equivalent
  • Past experience of working as a Learning Support Assistant in UK schools
  • Experience of supporting children/young people from the ages of 11 to 18
