Learning Support Assistant

A Learning Support Assistant is required urgently in an amazing 6th Form College in South West London.

This Learning Support Assistant role will be full time and permanent.

Experience/knowledge of supporting SEN pupils with EHCPs will be advantageous for this Learning Support Assistant post.

However, all applicants with a drive to actively help pupils with SEN will be considered.

The rates of pay for this Learning Support Assistant position will be between £70 to £100 a day depending on the experiences and qualifications of each candidate.

The College

The age group consists of 16 - 19-year-old pupils with only A Levels and Diplomas 1 to 3 being taught. There is an excellent pastoral care system in place at the school with each student having a Personal Tutor to assist them, along with their subject teachers.

The site also has a Chapel and Prayer room for those of a religious background.

  • A Level results consistently see 1 in 3 grades at A* - B with a 95% pass rate.
  • Level 3 Diploma results regularly have a 96% pass rate with 66% being a D or D*.
  • On average, 91% of pupils go on to Higher Education, including roughly 27% to Russell Group or top 40 universities.

Staff are extremely satisfied when it comes to working at the college too.

Requirements

You are encouraged to apply if you are a graduate Learning Support Assistant or experienced Learning Support Assistant.

Applications are also welcome if you're a British trained Learning Support Assistant or overseas trained Learning Support Assistant.

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Clear and up to date Enhanced DBS
  • UK Bachelors Degree or an overseas equivalent
  • Experience of working with SEN pupils in UK Secondary schools/colleges
