A Learning Support Assistant is needed at coeducational Independent school in South West London.

This will be a full time, long term Learning Support Assistant role.

If appointed as a Learning Support Assistant you will be required to support a pupil with Autism on a 1:1 basis.

The pupil has low levels of communication, so successful applicants must possess a calm, enthusiastic and supportive manner.

The majority of the work for this Learning Support Assistant post will be carried out in the schools designated SEN Unit.

The rates of pay for this Learning Support Assistant role will be between £70 and £100 a day, depending on the qualifications and experience of each applicant.

The School

Founded by a teacher in 1982, the goal of the school remains to nurture and educate children in small class sizes.

This was done with the idea that a smaller school would allow children to be more involved in their own progress, as well as the community, by keeping them motivated and happy.

Facilities at the school include but aren't limited to; a dedicated Science Laboratory, an Art Studio equipped with a pottery area/kiln and sports grounds for athletics, cricket, netball, softball, swimming and water sports.

SEN support is a big part of the school's set up. They have proven track record of helping a range of pupils to achieve their GCSEs, BTECs and A Levels.

Requirements

Applications are welcome if you are recent Graduate, experienced Support Worker or Learning Support Assistant.

You are also encouraged to apply if you are a British trained Learning Support Assistant or overseas trained Learning Support Assistant.

All applicants must have the following in order to be shortlisted for this Learning Support Assistant role:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Clear and up to date Enhanced DBS
  • UK Bachelor's Degree or overseas equivalent
  • Experience as a Learning Support Assistant in UK schools
