Learning Support Assistant

A Learning Support Assistant is needed in a 'Good' Secondary School in South East London.

This Learning Support Assistant position will be full time. Working hours will be 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.

The school is seeking a Learning Support Assistant that has strong behaviour management skills, good all round subject knowledge and the ability to multitask effectively.

If appointed as a Learning Support Assistant, you will be expected to ensure pupils stay focused on set work by the class teacher.

Communication with other staff members will be key, as you need to be organised around what classes you will need to be in and at what times.

Timetables for this Learning Support Assistant role will vary, depending on what staff are absent each day.

To be considered for this Learning Support Assistant position, you will ideally have school based experience in a UK Secondary School, covering different types of lessons.

The rates of pay for this Learning Support Assistant position will be between £72 to £105 a day, depending on the qualifications and experiences of each applicant.

A free school created from what was a former University Technical College.

Construction and Engineering are the specialisms of the school. They are the only local providers of courses with access to these opportunities.

The site is located between two scenic green spaces.

Pupil in take is for boys and girls, 11 to 19 year olds.

Requirements

You will be considered if you are a Graduate or experienced Learning Support Assistant.

Applications are also welcome if you are a British trained Learning Support Assistant or overseas trained Learning Support Assistant.

All applicants must have the following in order to be considered for this position as a Learning Support Assistant:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Clear and up to date Enhanced DBS
  • UK Bachelor's Degree or an overseas equivalent
  • Experience as a Learning Support Assistant in UK schools
